Tracey is the most recent addition to our team, but is no stranger to the toy and licensing industries.
She now heads up our sales and marketing division and is a very well-known and well-loved face in the industry.
Over to Tracey…
1 – Could you tell us a bit about your background before you joined Fundamentally Children?
I’ve been in the toy industry for more years than I care to remember :-). Previously Head of Licensing & Marketing at Rubies Masquerade and prior to that at KD Group.
2 – Could you tell us a bit about your current role?
I head up sales and marketing – The Good Play Guide is an amazing and passionate team of people. I’m really enjoying helping give a little experience to the dynamic vision.
3 – What’s the best thing about working in the children’s industries?
The people ….. there isn’t another industry like it!
4 – And the worst?
We work hard, but also means we play hard too.
5 – Describe working for Fundamentally Children in three words.
Exciting (obs), professional, inspiring.
6 – What’s your favourite industry event and why?
I love the Licensing Awards and Toy Fair – great opportunities to meet up with all our industry colleagues to celebrate the year.
7 – If you didn’t work in your current role, what would you like to be doing and why?
I used to be a fitness instructor in a previous life so I guess I could have headed down that road, but I really can’t imagine working anywhere other than the toy industry.
8 – What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given from someone in the children’s industries?
Every day is a school day – there’s always something new to learn and more amazing people to meet.
9 – What’s your all-time favourite children’s toy or app?
I love Twister – it brings back some great childhood memories.
