User Testing
Knowing what makes your target audience tick is key to creating a winning product. So a great place to start your product development is with consumer research – find out what the children you are developing product for love, hate, enjoy – whatever you want to know about children’s lifestyles, hobbies, play patterns, etc, we can help you to find out.
Perhaps, though, you are further down the development route and have a prototype that you need to test out, to find out what’s working and what isn’t, what needs ironing out, or improving. We can take your design to children and tell you exactly what’s working and what needs to change, and why.
Or maybe you’re having an overhaul of your existing range and want to find out what products are still popular with your target consumer, and what isn’t working so well any more. We can get feedback on as many lines as you want to know about from your key consumers, and their parents.
It could be that you’d like to research an issue that surrounds your company, audience, or the market in general, such as how children perceive different marketing techniques, whether your ad catches their attention, or even how they are interacting with social media or technology.
Any and all of these questions can be answered concisely, professionally and with extensive child development knowledge to back up findings, by the expert team at Fundamentally Children. Whatever your question about children and families, we can answer it.

Examples of our Work
Tomy – Tomy needed to some insight and feedback on the appeal of their new Aquadoodle Super Colour Deluxe and to obtain video feedback from parents. We carried out the research at the 3Foot People Festival, allowing us access to a large audience in a cost effective way.
Pan Macmillan – We were approached by Pan Macmillan to provide research and insight into children’s engagement with, and parents’ perceptions of Campbell Books.
What our clients think
“The insights they [Fundamentally Children] have gathered through qualitative research and play testing with children and parents have been instrumental in steering development in the right direction. They have impressed us and our client throughout, often working to extremely tight timescales. Their involvement remains a key part of the ongoing project. They are a pleasure to work with and we have already recommended them for other projects within R/GA. “
